Our belief is that children and young adults who have either a physical, mental, or developmental disability should have the opportunity to participate in recreational activities to help foster participation in physical activity and to provide both parents and children with a network of support in the community.

Ables Recreation Association is a non-profit organization that was established in 1991. The organization provides recreational opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We provide services to individuals in Rutherford, Davidson, Williamson, Cannon, Wilson, and other surrounding counties

Parents contribute a small fee for events, but Ables's operating budget is funded by donations and grants. Ables is an all-volunteer organization. We welcome donations to fulfill our mission. Donations may be mailed directly to the organization's post office box. Checks can be made payable to Ables Recreation Association, Inc.
